For the Grilled Beef
- 300 g ribeye or sirloin steak
- 2 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon gochujang
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon brown sugar
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
For the Ramen
- 2 packs instant ramen noodles discard seasoning packet
- 2 cups chicken or beef broth
- 1 tablespoon gochugaru
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- Salt to taste
For the Creamy Sauce
- 3 tablespoon mayonnaise (Kewpie preferred)
- 1 tablespoon sriracha or Korean chili sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- Pinch of sugar (optional)
Garnishes
- 2 tablespoon chopped green onions
- 1 teaspoon toasted black sesame seeds
- Extra chili oil or gochugaru (optional)
Instructions
In a bowl, mix soy sauce, gochujang, sesame oil, brown sugar, garlic, and pepper. Add beef and marinate for 30 minutes (or overnight).
In another small bowl, mix all creamy sauce ingredients until smooth. Chill until ready to use.
In a pot, simmer broth. Add gochugaru, soy sauce, vinegar, sesame oil, and salt. Cook ramen noodles until al dente (about 3 minutes). Remove from heat.
Heat grill pan or skillet over high heat. Sear beef 2–3 minutes per side until caramelized. Let rest, then slice against the grain.
Assemble bowls: add noodles and broth, top with creamy sauce, grilled beef, green onions, sesame seeds, and extra spice if desired.
